TRENTON (January 30, 2024) —Assembly Speaker Craig J. Coughlin has appointed Assemblyman Chris Tully to continue as Chairman of the Assembly Science, Innovation and Technology Committee in the new legislative session. Assemblyman Tully previously chaired this committee in the 220th legislative session.

The Assembly Science, Innovation and Technology Committee is tasked with developing New Jersey’s innovation ecosystem and priming the State to be the best place for entrepreneurial and scientific trailblazers to make advancements in burgeoning Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) fields.

“The sheer breadth of innovation happening throughout New Jersey showcases the benefits the Garden State offers its entrepreneurial community – a highly talented work force, close proximity to a diverse business market, major medical and pharmaceutical hubs, and access to world-class research institutions,” said Assemblyman Tully (D-Bergen). “As my committee eagerly supports our state’s ongoing innovation, we also look forward to cultivating fresh opportunities that will propel this pivotal sector to new heights.”

In this session, Tully also serves as Deputy Majority Leader and Vice Chair of the Commerce, Economic Development and Agriculture Committee. He has been a member of the General Assembly since 2018.
