Mainor Hosts 4th Annual "Planting a Seed of Faith" Dinner Celebrating Mother and Daughter Relationships in the Community

Event Held to Empower and Inspire All Women and Girls to Pursue Excellence

(Jersey City) – In a continuing effort to honor and encourage strong parent-child relationships, Assemblyman Charles Mainor will host his 4th Annual “Planting a Seed of Faith” dinner on Thursday, August 29, 2013. This is one of two annual events Assemblyman Mainor sponsors which celebrates parental roles in our communities. The annual Ties that Bond program addresses the need for stronger father and son relationships and was held in July.

The “Planting a Seed of Faith” event will highlight healthy mother and daughter relationships and their impact on the health and wellness of our communities.

“The reality today is that many parents are losing sight of true family values and becoming less involved in the lives of their children,” said Mainor (D-Hudson).

“We must remember that each of us in this village has a role in the upbringing of the next generation of men and women. By celebrating mothers, their sacrifices and successes, as inspiring examples we can empower others to pursue excellence. On Thursday evening we will bring women and their girls together, invite them to share their stories in hopes to inspire and honor the role of women in our families and our communities.”
