(TRENTON) – Assembly Judiciary Chairman John McKeon (D-Essex/Morris) released the following statement on Thursday:
“Governor-elect Murphy made an outstanding choice by selecting Gurbir Grewal as his attorney general. New Jersey will be well represented as Attorney General Grewal goes toe-to-toe with the Trump administration as they continue to erode American’s rights.
“I’m profoundly confident in Gurbir’s ability to implement the Governor-elect’s sweeping criminal justice reform agenda and work our state’s law enforcement community. I also look forward to working collaboratively with him on reversing several issues the Christie Administration has abused, such as barring public whistleblowers from speaking out. “
