(TRENTON) — Assemblyman John F. McKeon (D-Essex) had the following published recently in The Daily Journal:
“This is the type of compromise legislation the Assembly was seeking — one that respects the city’s right to self-governance and worker rights while providing reasonable benchmarks to resolve this crisis.
“It’s the right bill, and one we wouldn’t have gotten had the Assembly not held its ground and struck to its principles. After all, it’s also been said compromise is based on give and take, but there can be no give and take on fundamentals…”
