Assemblywoman Angela V. McKnight will host a free dinner Friday evening to encourage local residents to discuss concerns about their neighborhoods and work to implement solutions to better the community.
“More than half of Americans don’t know their neighbors. That’s surprising, but when people are so busy working and caring for our families, it’s also understandable,” said McKnight (D-Hudson). “This dinner is about bringing people in the community together to slow down and break bread with one another. A community divided is a community defeated. It’s time to bring unity back to the community.”
The dinner will be held at The Mary McLeod Bethune Life Center, 140 Martin Luther King Drive, Jersey City, NJ 07803 on Friday, Nov. 4 from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Parties interested in attending may contact Assemblywoman McKnight at 201-360-2502, LaToya Hall at 917-795-5599 or Jackie Withers at 201-855-0203.
