Mukherji Statement on Budget Vote

(TRENTON) – Assemblyman Raj Mukherji (D-Hudson) released the following statement:

“In a perfect world, we would lower property taxes, fully fund education and our pension obligations, restores funding for women’s health care, and solve all of New Jersey’s problems. However, in a triage situation, we’re forced to make difficult decisions.

“This year’s budget is far from perfect, but it does fund critical priorities for our state’s most vulnerable citizens. It also includes many of the Governor’s requests. There’s no reason to continue to hold up the budget vote and jeopardize government services and jobs with a shutdown.”
