SCHAER: ‘AN EFFORT TO REIN IN HEALTH CARE COSTS’

Assemblyman Gary S. Schaer had the following published in The Record of Bergen County :

“Over the past 30 years, the top one-tenth of one percent of Americans have seen their income rise by 300 percent. During the same period, the median income of most Americans has increased just 15 percent. One reason for this continues to be the inextricable and unsustainable rise of health care costs.

Health care costs are now the No. 1 reason middle-class Americans file for bankruptcy and a real stumbling block to starting, and keeping, a small business…”
