Assemblywoman Elizabeth Muoio said that protecting New Jersey’s most vulnerable people is one of the most important responsibilities legislatures have in this state. The Assembly Budget Committee approved two bills Monday (A-33) and (A-31) aimed at enhancing benefits and easing poverty in New Jersey.
A31 increases amount of benefits under Work First New Jersey program by 30 percent over three years and according to Social Security cost of living increases thereafter.
A33 repeals the family cap in Work First New Jersey program.
